Karen and Leon Wender have been active participants in the Asian art market for 40 years. They first visited China in 1980. They have lectured at museums and have curated numerous gallery exhibitions including ones at the National Arts Club and Lotos Club in New York City. The Wenders have been consultants to the IRS Art Appraisal Board. They have advised prominent collectors and appraised art for museums, businesses, and individuals. Mr. Wender is fluent in Mandarin. He is a member of the Directory and Chairman of the Art Committee at the Lotos Club in Manhattan. He was an invited speaker for the American Appraisers Association’s annual conference at the Yale Club in NYC and is a yearly member of the vetting committee for Chinese art at The Winter Show in NYC.
